And I'd be delighted, because something that was hard for us would be impossible for our competitors. And even in those fields they depend heavily on startups for components and ideas. A big company is like a giant galley driven by a thousand rowers.
CEOs also have both measurement and leverage. Tax the rich to put money back in the hands of the American people through middle-class tax cuts, and corporations will expand production and payrolls to meet the resulting spike in consumer demand.
I don't think many people like the slow pace of big companies, the interminable meetings, the water-cooler conversations, the clueless middle managers, and so on.
Ideally, you are getting together with a group of other people who also want to work a lot harder, and get paid a lot more, than they would in a big company.
We enjoy a luxurious lifestyle, but we already own several houses, a private jet, and one too many yachts turns out, the optimal number is two. It is just as well to let a big company take over once you reach cruising altitude. Let the nerds keep their lunch money, and you rule the world.
The parameter can be a positive or a negative number.We all want to be wealthy, or at least comfortable.
But if you uphold these tendencies, you're less likely to get there. The truth of being a woman is that nearly everything we do will come at a premium, to exist in the world and be pleasing enough to everyone around us to get ahead will mean paying more, and the less we want to participate in the game, the more money we need.
